We’ve got answers to help you get the most out of Lasinja.
No—Lasinja is a self-service platform. You (or your designated payroll admin) enter employee hours, salaries, deductions, etc., through our intuitive dashboard. If you have existing data in a spreadsheet, you can import it in bulk, or contact us about our one-time data-migration service.
Go to Employees → Add Employee to enter basic info (name, SSN, pay rate, etc.). To deactivate or remove someone, edit their profile and change their status to Terminated or Onboarding—their records remain available for tax reporting.
Only Active employees are counted against your plan.
Yes—upgrade or downgrade any time from Billing. Billing is prorated based on the date of change, and your new rate takes effect immediately.
Email support@lasinja.com. We offer live onboarding sessions.
Upon cancellation, you’ll retain access for 30 days to download any outstanding reports or forms. If you have a prefunding balance, it will be refunded to you within 7 business days.
Absolutely—just add another company under Account → Companies in the upper right. Each has its own employees, reports, and billing settings, and you toggle between them from the top-nav company menu.
No, however your employees can view pay statements and W-2s from our free employee portal.
Lasinja can generate PDF checks for you to print in-house, or we can print & mail them on your behalf (additional fee applies). Check-printing templates are fully customizable with your logo and signature line. Contact support to enable this feature.
Employee pay statements are sent at 7am on the selected pay day. You must have the employee’s email address entered prior to 6am.
This is up to you to decide when you set your pay schedule.
Sure. Go to Settings -> Pay Schedules.
No, not at this time. Employees can sign into the portal and see their employee profile (wages, W4 data, etc.) but must contact you or your designated admin to update their information.
Right now, this is only available for previous payroll data that you are migrating from another system.
If the employee was active for more than half of the year, there is no fee to generate W2 or 1099 forms. If the employee was active in the system for less than half of the year, there is a per employee fee for generating W2 and 1099 forms.
We calculate and generate forms 941, 941VI, 501VI, VIESA, W-2/W-3 and 1099s. We’re working on additional forms like the 940.
Not at this time but we’re working on that.
We update federal and VI tax tables whenever government agencies publish changes, usually quarterly. You don’t need to lift a finger—Lasinja keeps you compliant.
We employee a number of security measures. This includes but is not limited to encrypting all data at rest and in transit, role-based, frequent backups, monitoring, and logging.
We’re getting ready to release an export to QuickBooks Online and Desktop (via IIF), with other integrations (e.g., Xero, Sage) coming later this year.
